The Inshore Flotilla Minesweeper Display
Around a quarter of those veterans who served during that time, attended the function in Auckland. Also present was Mr Allan Jones from Australia, representing the RANs 16th Minesweeper Squadron, the Chief of the New Zealand Navy; Rear Admiral David Ledson ONZM, RNZN, and the High Commissioner for Malaysia, His Excellency Dato Sapain Mahmed.
His Excellency took the opportunity to present the Pinga Jasa Malaysia medal to several veterans.
Those Australians who were there will relate well to this book which compliments 'Hands to Boarding Stations' by the Late Lt Cmd John Foster.
On Saturday 1st July 2006, there was a reunion of those who served on the HMNZ Hickleton and HMNZ Santon and their support during the Indonesian Conflict.

Fred Wilson - Sub Lieutenant - HMZNS Hinckleton - Being presented with the Pinga jasa Malaysia medal by the Malaysian High Commissioner, His Excellency Dato Sapain Mahmed, at the RNZN reunion.
Fred was Officer Of the Watch during Hickleton's hot action 50 years ago and later rose to RearAdmiral, Chief of Naval Staff.
